Mike Spinner
With a last name that others would kill for, Mike Spinner has burst onto the BMX scene with authority and has proven himself worthy of such a name. Taking the freestyle world by storm since his professional debut two years ago during the final leg of the 2006 Dew Tour, he made history by pulling a Tailwhip 720, a trick never before landed in competition by an amateur or a pro. Proving he’s one of the best in the sport, Spinner continues to set records, completing the world's first 1080 and Quad Tailwhip in the last two years.
Some additional background on Mike Spinner, who is also known as the “First-Ever” man:
- In 2006, Mike won the amateur competition at the AST Dew Tour after making history by performing the first-ever “Tailwhip 720” – spinning his bike twice in the air, as his bike spins once, back end forward
- As the breakout rookie of 2007, he made national news by winning “Trick of the Year” at the AST Dew Tour for pulling off the first-ever “1080” – successfully spinning his bike three times in mid-air
- In his first year as a pro in 2007, he pulled off the first-ever 360 Triple Tailwhip – spinning once as the bike spins three times
- Spinner took things to the next level in 2008, by landing the first-ever Quadruple Tailwhip in competition
